Finish setting up your site

This site doesn't have an admin yet. Enter the SETUP_KEY from your server's docker-compose.yml to make this account the admin. After that, the key does nothing.

Stream setup Offline

Put these into OBS under Settings → Stream, with Service set to Custom. Your channel is at .

1. Encoder: x264 or your GPU's H.264 encoder, rate control CBR, 3000–6000 Kbps. (With SRT, OBS picks the right format by itself.)
2. Keyframe interval: 1 s. This keeps the delay low.
3. Audio: AAC. Then press Start Streaming, and your channel goes live within a few seconds.

Post to your own Discord server each time you go live, with your title and a snapshot of the stream. Reconnects don't post twice, and streams that end within 20 seconds don't post at all.

The site's address isn't set (PUBLIC_URL), so announcements can't include a link or a picture yet. Ask the site's admin to set it.

Show your chat on your stream. Pick a look, copy the link, and add it to OBS as a Browser source. The background is see-through, so it sits on top of your game or camera.

1. In OBS, under Sources, press + and choose Browser.
2. Paste the link into URL. Set Width to 400 and Height to 600 (or whatever fits your layout).
3. Press OK, then drag it into a corner. New messages appear at the bottom.

The overlay doesn't count as a viewer. Deleted messages and bans disappear from it straight away. For reading and moderating chat while you stream, use Pop out chat above the chat on your channel page.

Pop-up alerts on your stream, with a sound, when someone follows, sends sparks, redeems a reward or raids you. Add it to OBS as a Browser source covering your whole scene.

1. In OBS, add a Browser source, paste the link into URL, and set it to your canvas size (usually 1920 × 1080).
2. To adjust the alert volume in OBS's mixer, tick Control audio via OBS in the source's settings.
3. Press a test button below. The alert pops up in OBS (and anywhere else the link is open), so you can check the look and the sound.

Alerts queue up and play one at a time. Someone unfollowing and following again within an hour won't trigger a second alert.

Shown in your player while you're offline, and on your channel's card on the home page. Without one, your channel looks as it does now. Fitted to 16:9 (1280×720 looks best). PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 5 MB.

Channel details

Viewers see changes as soon as you save, including the stream title. Your channel's name is your account name; change it under Account.

Streaming

Streaming isn't turned on for your account yet. An admin can switch it on for you in the admin panel.

Community

You can also do all of this from your chat: /mod name, /unmod name, /ban name and /unban name.

Mods get a mod tag in your chat and can ban, unban and clear chat. They can't ban you, other mods or Core Staffers.

Regulars you want to recognise. VIPs get a 💎 VIP badge, skip slow mode and can always post links, but they can't moderate. In chat: /vip name, /unvip name.

Stream stats

How your streams are going. Viewers are people with your channel open, counted every 30 seconds. Streams under a minute (like quick tests) aren't counted, and a reconnect within 3 minutes counts as the same stream.

Rewards

Things viewers can spend sparks on in your channel. Redemptions show up in chat and in the reward queue on your channel page, where you or your mods mark them done or refund them.

Emotes

Images people can use in your chat by typing :name:, or by picking them from the emoji button. PNG, GIF (animated works), WebP or JPEG, up to 256 KB. Square images around 112×112 pixels look best. Up to 50.

Moderation

These apply to regular viewers. You, your mods and Core Staffers aren't affected.

In chat: /timeout name 10 (minutes), /untimeout name, /slow 30, /slow off. Mods can also delete single messages with the bin button that appears on hover.

Account

An animated ring around your picture, shown everywhere your picture is.

A bot is a program that chats for this account, for example answering !commands or welcoming people. It connects to chat with a token instead of a password. A token only works for chat: it can't change your settings or password.
